Experimento Ghana LBG in partnership with Siemens Stiftung and GES trained about 40 teachers from 20 different schools in Denkyembour District to acquire knowledge in STEM

On Friday, October 17, 2025, Experimento Ghana LBG, in partnership with Siemens Stiftung and the Ghana Education Service (GES), successfully trained approximately 40 teachers from 20 different schools in Science, Technology, English, and Mathematics (STEM).

The initiative was specifically designed to equip teachers in the Denkyembour District with the practical knowledge and skills necessary to enhance their teaching methods and improve student engagement.

Mrs. Ivy Danso, an alumna of St. Roses Senior High School in Akwatia, shared her motivation with the Denkyembour news publication. Having acquired significant insight into STEM education, Mrs. Danso stated she felt obligated to give back to society through this initiative.

A key focus of the session was introducing participants to the Arduino platform and software, enabling them to understand microcontroller programming, read input, and explore foundational concepts of technological development.

As the Director of Experimento Ghana LBG, Mrs. Danso further emphasized that the program's primary objective was to equip science and technology teachers with problem-solving skills they could immediately apply in their schools. She concluded by presenting the participants with supportive teaching materials essential for the effective instruction of these courses.

Mr. T.T. More, the affable Director of Education for the Denkyembour District, expressed his gratitude to the teachers and the Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) for their valuable partnership. He advised the participants to make good use of the knowledge acquired, transfer the benefits to their students, and ensure the proper maintenance of their starter kits.
