Honorable Erasmus Konney Ali is known for his generosity in and around Akwatia . The household name is ASANKA POYOYO.  This gentleman has been one of the longest serving Assembly Members in the history of Kwaebibirem District and Denkyembour District. 

Interestingly enough! He managed to have won the Presiding Membership contest in Akwatia constituency when his mother political party was in opposition . He won this enviable portfolio two (2) consecutive times . This Herculean task was discharged one touch by Hon. Erasmus Konney Ali by pulling 21 out of 31 votes . First of it kind possibly in the fourth Republic of Ghana .

Many have nicknamed him “living legend” due to his unprecedented legacy that the good people of Akwatia precisely the electoral area benefitted from . He Single handedly as ASSEMBLY MEMBER without salary constructed a dual carriage BRIDGE linking Akwatia Zango to his Electoral area where greater commuters are students from Akwatia Raman Catholic JHS, St. Roses girls Primary and users of the CHIPs center he lobbied to be built in his electoral area then as Assembly Member of the said Area.

Time will be the greatest enemy if all the colorful successes he has to his credit is to be itemized here. St. Dominic Hospital of Akwatia children’s ward benefited Brand NEW digital TV sets from him, same as GCD children’s ward . Asanka rented and furnished an apartment and converted it into chips Center for the good people of Akwatia Zango. Drawing down the curtains , virtually every institution within the catchment area has benefitted in one way or the other from the kind gesture of this astute politician and philanthropist.

Lumping all the above , he really deserve the HONORARY AWARD conferred on him on the 1st April 2022 as the MOST INFLUENTIAL MALE PERSONALITY OF THE YEAR. 

Asanka received the aforementioned award and dedicated it to Almighty Allah and quickly wished the good brothers and sister RAMADAN KAREEM He was very grateful to the organizers of the AWARD especially the CEO mr. Walker . He continued by showering blessings on good wishers and the voters for making the dream a reality by voting massively for him in this economic hardship . He climaxed the appreciation by immensely thanking TEAM ASANKA and labeled the team as a formidable rock .
