The queen mother of Ekoona Abusua Nana Okokodrufo Okomansan Amoah Awisi 1 have put smile on the faces of the people living with Disability in her community amidst Easter celebration.
The Donation/Outreach program was done as part of her efforts of giving back to the society after Soo many years stay in abroad.
Speaking to Okokodrufo Amoah Awisi 1 in an interview she noted that, Akyem Manso which is located in the Asene Manso Akroso District of Eastern Region is a town with highly elited people leaving abroad and must have impact on the community.
She says, she (queen mother of Ekoona Abusua) will spend all her time and money on people living with Disability as majority of them are being rejected in the society.
She donated items like full pieces of clothes, soaps and detergents and an undisclosed amount of money.
Okokodrufo Okomansan Amoah Awisi 1 in her remarks advised that, Ghanaians should adopt the act of giving especially the benevolent people and moreover treat disability people equally devoid discrimination.
The president of People living with Disability in the Asene Manso Akroso District Mr Obeng Asare also revealed to the press that, they are impressed by the donation made by the queen mother.
He further noted and appealed to the government and the general public to assist them build a place for the disability to learn apprenticeship.
