OPEN DEFECATION TAKEN OVER AWOSUA ELECTORAL AREA IN AKWATIA.
The Assembly member for Awosua electoral area in Akwatia of the Denkyembour District of Eastern Region Hon John Kwame Adarkwa has narrated bitterly to the press how unhygienic display of defecation has affected his community.
Awosua electoral area is a very confined community which has highly elited people and a place of convinced to stay.
They are made up of about thousands of people leaving in the community using only one public toilet which is over 75 years old which sometimes full up hampering safer easing.
Hon Adarkwa noted that, as part of the President Nana Addo Dankwah Akuffo-Addo camping promises to use the one million dollars per Constituency to build public toilets, his electoral area was not left out.
He says, for about three(3) years of completion, it has been left to rot without commissioning and for that matter majority of people in the electoral area openly defecates.
Due to this health situations in the community is always on the rise as communicable diseases are easily transmitted.
The situation has been very unbearable in the area which has compelled them to stage a demonstration to register their displeasure to the government and the Assembly.
