Tension at Asamankese as Royal Abrade Akua Korang Family Petition IGP to stop the celebration of Obuodwan Festival

The Head of the Royal Abrade Akua Korang Lineage of Asamankese have petitioned the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dr. Akuffo Dampare to come over to Asamankese to engage the rightful parties involved in the Asamankese Chieftaincy dispute to help prevent further clash.

The Royal Abrade Akua Korang Lineage of the Abrade family have rightfully enstooled and inaugurate a true Royal as the Asamankese chief on the 20th December, 2021 and since then, the Royal family have not been challenged by the Queen mother nor her son Kwesi Obeng who purport himself as Osaabarima Adu Darko III on that lawful customary and traditional action taken by the Royal Akua Korang Lineage of the Abrade family of Asamankese at any court of competent jurisdiction.

Meanwhile, they have found it strange to have heard that the Queen mother together with her son are planning to celebrate such a festival which is unknown to the Royal Akua Korang Lineage of the Abrade family of Asamankese which they have picked an Intel that they have slated 3rd September, 2022 for it's launch.

"We further call on you to intervene, prevent and stop such an event because the Royal family shall not be pleased and watch such an uncustomary activity to happen on our land. We are calling for peace, we are law abiding citizens and that is the more reason we have always engaged, involved and informed the security services to everything or measures that we take since the beginning of the impasse in 2014 they added".

They further added that, on countless occasions, the Queen mother and her son have violated court injunction and order yet they are walking freely on the principal streets of Asamankese. The Ausua Panin believe for once the security services shall collaboratively intervene for them to smoke a peace pipe so that Asamankese can develop for the betterment of okyeman and Ghana at large.
