E/R: Update Denkyembour District Flooding: MP for Akwatia Donate food items to some affected residents.

 The member of Parliament for Akwatia Constituency Hon Henry Boakye Yiadom popularly known as Okoyo have today 30th September, 22 donated some food items worth GH¢ 20.000 to the affected residents of the Denkyembour District Thursday morning flooding.

Flashback:

On Wednesday 28th September, 2022, at about 1300hours, there was a heavy downpour of rains for more than five (5) hours which resulted in flooding in some affected areas like the Boadua, sadams, Akwatia, Topremang, Apinamang and several other mining areas.

About thousand people rendered homeless and we're displayed by the rains. Schools and other institutions fails to work on the Thursday due to the inability to access some roads.

Meanwhile the Member of Parliament, District Chief Executive, the police, district engineer, Nadmo coordinator and the media visited the scene.

Speaking to Hon Boakye Yiadom in an interview with papastorynews.blogspot.com, he noted that, as a member of Parliament, it is his responsibility to make sure his people are safe and released from any eventualities. 

Improvisely, he gathered some food items like 100 bags of rice, 100 Cooking oil, 100 mosquito coil and 200 bags of satcht water to the people.

Some of the affected residents who received the presentation also expressed their feelings to the media.
