Akwatia Zongo gets new Sub Chiefs.

The Chief of Akwatia Zongo Alhaji Rabiu Issaka Adams have installed and outdoorted about thirteen (13) Sub Chiefs in his jurisdiction to foster him work steadily as a Chief.

A ceremony held on Sunday 23rd April, 2023 brought joy and harmony among the good people of Akwatia Zongo and it's environs.

The ceremony was graced by the member of Parliament for Akwatia Constituency Hon Henry Boakye Yiadon, the president of Eastern Regional council of Zongo chiefs Alhaji Abubakar Umar, the Constituency chairman for the opposition National Democratic congress (NDC) Mr Awal Moro, some Constituency executives and other stakeholders.

Addressing the newly installed chiefs, the Eastern Regional council of Zongo chiefs Alhaji Abubakar Umar noted that, it gives him much pleasure to see the 13 people who have vowed to serve the Zongo community. He then advised them to desist from nepotism and further embrace togetherness to solidify them to achieve a common goal. 

Alhaji Abubakar Umar furthermore entreated that, since they are new in the chieftaincy position, they should not hesitate to ask for help from the elders if anything baffles their minds.

The thirteen Sub Chiefs who were installed was Alhaji Umar - Galadima

 Mohammed Sani J - Mataimakin Galadima Alhaji Yusiff Jouga Danladi - Sadauna Mohammed Sani - Waziri Umar Fulani - Baban Sarki Mohammed Suraj - Sallama Ben Yahya Tailor - Garkuwa Mohammed Ahmed - Sarkin Dogarai Muntala Umar - Sarkin Yaaki Naa-ud Mohammed- Magatarda, Awudu Shaikara - Sarkin Faada Abdul Rasheed- Sarkin Samaari Mawuya Yusiff - Mataimakin Sarkin Samaari Umur Khair - Magaajiya Hajia Kande Haske - Jakaadiya Prince Yaro - Spokesperson


The member of Parliament for Akwatia Constituency Hon Henry Boakye Yiadon popularly known as Okoyo also admonished the newly thirteen 13 installed Sub Chiefs to unite and support the main Zongo Chief to bring more developments in the community. He also advised the youth to restrain calm as election is fast approaching to eliminate any bad name against them.
