An Accra High Court today dismissed Application to stop Baba Jamal Esq. from contesting East Ayawaso Constituency.

 

An Accra High Court today dismissed an application for an injunction to stop Hon. Baba Jamal Esq. From contesting in the upcoming NDC primaries.

The application filed by one Yahaya Alhassan from Mamobi prayed the court to stop Hon. Baba Jamal Esq. from contesting in the upcoming Constituency primaries in East Ayawaso because Hon. Baba Jamal Esq. is not from Nima. He also requested the court to stop all aspirants from swapping constituencies.

The Court presided over by His Lordship Baiden dismissed the application on the bases that the application does not satisfy the requirements of granting an injunction. His Lordship stated that the bases for the application is shaky and that it virtually inviting the court to give orders against the whole world.

Speaking to some supporters of Hon. Baba Jamal Esq., they were happy the court has dismissed the case and stated they alleged that it is the incumbent Member of Parliament, Mc Nasser and the wife who are behind the Applicant because he is afraid of the contest.

Further investigation in the East Ayawaso constituency reveals that there is a hot race between the incumbent and Hon. Baba Jamal Esq. With the odds favoring the latter.
